The CPS wanted to send child to Gambia

This collection of articles describes a case where a 11 years old girl had lived with her father most of her life. After he died of cancer in 2002, her stepmother had taken care of her until her stepmother moved to Gambia 2004/2005. The CPS wanted to send the girl to Gambia against her will. She was taken away from her grandparents in a dramatic way because the CPS feaed that she would be hid from her grandparents. Later, the girl was allowed to stay in Norway.

Gambia is a high risk country for female circumcision.
