Terje Rød Larsen is a former diplomat and politician (Labour Party). He was involved in the process that led to the Oslo agreement and was at one point (1996) member of government. He is investigated for corruption after his contacy with Epstein was revealed in 2026. It dhould be added that some of his contact with Epstein was known before that and covered by alternative media.
In this article from 31.01.2026, one can read that Terje Rød-Larsen and Mona Juul’s two children were willed 5 million US dollars each in Jeffrey Epstein’s will.
In this article form 2023 from the Norwegian online website Steigan.no, editor Pål Steigan refers to a Wall Street Journal (WSJ) article based on documents from Epstein that the newspaper had got access to. The information in the WSJ was said to be based om “thousands of pages with e-mails and calendars”, mainly from the period 2013-2017.
In the Saturday edition of WSJ, published on September 2, 2023, WSJ writes about Jeffrey Epstein’s meetings with politicians and leaders and what services he did to them. The new documents contain new details on how often, and where, Epstein met his contacts. The WSJ writes that the contact betwen Epstein and Rød-Larsen was so extensive that Epstein’s staff knew that when Rød-Larsen arrived, they had to have ready cucumbers for his gin.
The article at Steigan.no also quotes from a commentary by Harald Stanghelle in Aftenposten, one of Norway’s largest newspapers, on 23.12.2023. Stanghelle writes:
“After the sentence for sex crimes in 2008, many of the influential and important frisnds distanced themselves from Epstein. It was not nice to be associated with a man who cynically abused quite young girls. The meals, the parties and the tours with Epstein’s private airplane had gotten a bitter taste”
After his sentence, Epstein needed a way back to respectability, His method was money. He bought a roumour as a philantrope. He started donating big sums to various “good purposes”. When the money were on the table or were transferred, many people chose to forget the verdict.. As Stanghelle writes, one of those who let themselves use in this whitewashing, was Terje Rød Larsen:
“Already in 2010 there are traces of the first donations to IPI. And in 2017, the think tank got the entire sum of 375 000 dollars from Epstein’s foundation Gratitude America LTD. The foundation’s oversight shows that this makes IPI to the larges receiver of Epstein money this year.”
IPI, International Peace Institute, is a foundation where Rød-Larsen is president. The donation from Epstein is documented by a message from “Jeffrey Epstein VI Foundation” in 2012.
The article also cites the newspaper Dagens Næringsliv (DN) that a letter of debt reveals that Rød-Larsen owed Epstein 130 000 dollars. DN also pointed at National Audit Office of Norway harshly criticizing the Ministry og Foreign Affairs for lax control on how the IPI used money received from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
