Lisanne Freudenborg, who is the Socialist Left Party’s (SV) fifth candidate in the local election in the municipality of Trysil in 2023, has written the following in a commentary section:
“Parents who apply for pride exemption show worrying behavior in relation to their own children. It is clear that they choose their own feelings before their child’s well-being and the right to be educated about diversity and its connection in society. Applying for a pride exemption is therefore, in my opinion, worth a report of concern to the Child Protection Services.”
The Child Protections Services (CPS) in Norway is notorious for taking more children away from their parents (an act that has to be approved by an administrative unit whose decisions can be tried by the courts) than in most other countries, and the CPS system is notorious for its lack of judicial security. Freudenborg wants people to report parents whom she disagrees with concerning children’s participation in Pride related education, to the Norwegian CPS.
